Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a Risk & Assurance Manager to lead risk and assurance across Landfill, ERF, Agricultural Services and Construction sectors. The role is hybrid with travel to sites nationwide and offers a competitive package with a company car or cash allowance and a bonus scheme.

You will establish strategic direction, develop capabilities within the R&A team, and drive improvements across maintenance outages and major projects while fostering an active risk

Qualifications

• Experience in a Safety Advisor role.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent auditing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strategic vision for the Landfill, ERF, Agricultural Services and Construction sectors within the Treatment business.
• Develop and enhance the R&A team's capabilities to support daily operations and guide the business toward Active Risk Culture.
• Lead planning, support and continuous improvement of maintenance outages and construction projects.
• Involvement in the broader R&A improvement programme, developing and spearheading initiatives.
• Conduct trend analysis and identify key risk areas across sectors, focusing on Technical and Construction aspects.
• Drive consistency and implement improvements.

What you'll be doing:

• Establish a strategic vision for the Landfill, Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), Agricultural Services, and Construction sectors within the Treatment business.
• Developing and enhancing the R&A team's capabilities to effectively support daily operations and guide the business toward achieving an Active Risk Culture.
• Leading the effective planning, support, and continuous improvement of both planned maintenance outages and construction projects.
• Involvement in the broader R&A improvement programme, where the team is responsible for developing and spearheading the implementation of initiatives.
• Conduct trend analysis and identify key risk areas across the Landfill, ERF, Agricultural Services, and Construction sectors, focusing specifically on the Technical and Construction aspects of the business.
• Drive consistency and implement improvements.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a Safety Advisor Role, ideally in waste management, construction and maintenance NEBOSH General Certificate. Or equivalent Auditing experience.
• The ability to influence key stakeholders on site.
• Someone motivated to be actively part of the improvement programme and implementation of this within operational sites
• An individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.
