The British Geological Survey (BGS) invites applications for a Business Administrator Apprenticeship in the Risk & Assurance function, based at Keyworth. You will coordinate audits, maintain records, and support regular management reports while developing skills in risk management and assurance.

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English at grade 4/C or above required (or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication demonstrated in CV/cover letter.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Experience in customer or staff facing roles beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Administer internal and external audits and assessments with scheduling and follow-up.
• Maintain and update management system documentation.
• Prepare regular risk and management system performance reports.
• Support risk register operations and mitigating actions.
• Assist with business continuity and incident response documentation and exercises.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across environment, safety, security and labs.
• Respond to staff enquiries regarding management and assurance systems.
• Ensure health, safety and environment performance targets are met.
