Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Risk and Safety Officer.

The successful candidate will join the Health and Safety Team, which provides comprehensive health and safety advisory services to the Trust. The Risk and Safety Officer plays a vital role within this structure and service.

As Risk and Safety Officer, you will support the daily functions of the Health and Safety Team and assist in coordinating risk management and health and safety efforts across the organization.

This role requires a team player with:

• Strong organizational skills to plan and prioritize a varied workload, work to deadlines, and demonstrate initiative and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff at all levels.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and risk management software.
• Ability to take minutes, prepare statistics, and manage databases.

Main Duties Include:

• Developing and maintaining databases supporting the Trust’s Risk and Safety Management System.
• Performing administrative tasks to support the Risk, Health, and Safety Team, including producing reports.
• Promoting risk awareness, health, safety, and safe working practices in the workplace.
