Risk and Safety Compliance Advisor (Hiring Immediately), Doncaster

This role involves nationwide travel and focuses on health, safety, and environmental risk management within the business.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental risk strategies as defined by the Head of Safety & Risk.
• Ensuring ISO-certified safety and environmental management systems are maintained.
• Acting as the Subject Matter Expert on health and safety, environmental risk, and safety culture, including road transport and operational yard safety at Smiths News and third-party locations.
• Owning and updating company health and safety policies, training programs, and audit regimes.
• Delivering Human Factors and Safety Culture Awareness programs to promote positive safety behaviors.
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and trade associations, to promote safety and legal compliance.
• Investigating incidents and accidents thoroughly, liaising with emergency services and media as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Nebosh Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
