Our client, a leading specialist in employment and business immigration law, is looking for an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to join their team. The role involves overseeing the development and management of internal policies and procedures, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.
The responsibilities include managing reporting obligations to the SRA, delivering compliance training, conducting file audits to uphold client care and confidentiality, working closely with the Data Protection Manager for GDPR compliance, and managing secure file transfers. You will also serve as the main point of contact for internal conduct and ethics queries, providing guidance to fee earners and supporting the firm’s COFA and senior leadership in maintaining financial and operational compliance.
To succeed in this role, you need at least five years’ experience in a similar legal sector position, with a strong understanding of professional indemnity insurance. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a methodical approach, resilience in high-pressure environments, and be highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
