Our client, a leading specialist in employment and business immigration law, is seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to join their team in London (City of London). The role involves overseeing the development and management of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include managing reporting obligations to the SRA, delivering compliance training, conducting file audits to uphold client care and confidentiality, and working closely with the Data Protection Manager to ensure GDPR compliance. You will also manage secure file transfers and serve as the main contact for internal conduct and ethics queries, providing guidance to fee earners and supporting the firm’s COFA and senior leadership in maintaining financial and operational compliance.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in a similar legal sector role, with a strong understanding of professional indemnity insurance. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a methodical approach, resilience in high-pressure environments, and be highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities both independently and within a team.
