Job summary

National Grid Ventures Interconnectors is seeking a Risk Analyst to join the Governance, Risk & Controls team. The role focuses on identifying, assessing and managing risks across our interconnector portfolio to support governance and informed decision-making in a complex operational environment.

The position is hybrid with a Warwick base, requiring two days in the office and flexible days working from home.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of risk management principles, governance frameworks and business controls.
• Strong analytical skills to identify, assess and interpret risks.
• Experience analysing data to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting assurance, compliance, audit or risk activities.
• Experience in cyber security, safety, SHE, asset management, capital projects, financial operations or regulatory compliance.
• Experience using data/reporting tools; Power BI and SharePoint advantageous.
• Understanding of risk management in operational/engineering/commercial environments.
• Experience facilitating workshops and governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of risk management framework, policies, and processes.
• Identify, assess and manage risks with risk owners.
• Facilitate risk workshops and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Support assurance activities to ensure compliance with risk standards.
• Coordinate governance activities and risk reporting.
• Maintain risk registers and improve risk data quality.
• Produce risk reporting for governance and decision-making.
• Support risk awareness and training across Interconnectors.
