Job description

We’re growing fast and we have some very exciting plans. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, curious, and excited about shaping risk management in a fast-paced, growing business. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, take initiative, and navigate ambiguity comfortably.

Our goal is to find efficient, practical, and scalable ways to manage the risks faced by our expanding business. You should have a basic understanding of risk methodologies and approaches, with a strong desire to broaden your knowledge across different risk areas. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with all business units to embed risk management policies and strategies into Chip’s first-line teams.

This role is ideal for someone early in their risk career, offering the opportunity to impact risk management at Chip and gain exposure to cyber, data security, operational, and strategic risks. Our innovative methods will challenge your ability to apply your knowledge creatively and develop relevant controls to keep risk levels within tolerances.

What you can expect to do:

  1. Continuously expand your knowledge and identify opportunities to leverage data and new technologies to mitigate risks.
  2. Support risk owners in identifying, documenting, and assessing risks.
  3. Collaborate with the business on control testing to understand the control landscape.
  4. Track risk initiatives, including issues, incidents, actions, regulatory deadlines, and reporting.
  5. Understand root causes of incidents and ensure mitigation plans are effective, challenging the business when necessary.
  6. Participate in Business Continuity Planning and testing with technical stakeholders.
  7. Assist in preparing documentation and metrics for escalation to senior stakeholders and committees.
  8. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand risk exposure, control environment, deficiencies, and opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience with risk management practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to make judgment calls based on knowledge of Chip’s products and processes.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with eagerness to learn, initiative, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of Excel formulas, with a willingness to learn SQL and data analytics.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (early start to the weekend!)

Enjoy a structured, balanced workweek with an early finish on Fridays.
