Financial Risk Analyst

Citco’s Group Risk Management function develops and implements frameworks for managing risk across different business lines, providing risk management expertise, reporting, and oversight as part of the second line of defence.

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a keen interest in risk management, particularly financial risk (credit, market, and liquidity risk), to gain further experience.

The successful candidate will join a small team focused on identifying, monitoring, reporting, and managing financial risks within the Citco Group, primarily within the Banking Services Division, working with banks based in the Netherlands, Canada, Cayman Islands, and Curacao.

This role suits someone eager to learn, comfortable with numbers, and interested in developing expertise in risk analysis and quantitative tools using Excel, Access, VBA, and SQL.

Qualifications

About You:

• Degree or qualification in a numerical discipline or equivalent experience
• Highly numerate with a logical, analytical, and thorough approach
• Experience with Microsoft Excel required; familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic is desirable
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and prioritize work under pressure
• Interest in modelling impacts from Global Regulatory Developments
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proactive team player with a flexible approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

Key Job Duties:

• Develop and enhance analytical and reporting tools aligned with regulatory and business requirements for Credit, Liquidity, and Market Risk
• Provide reliable, consistent, and concise risk reports for risk managers and senior management
• Identify and escalate potential issues to risk managers and business owners
• Present risk updates in various governance forums including Risk, ALCO, and Credit Committees
• Analyze and report on Key Risks and Early Warning Indicators
• Support the design, development, and communication of enterprise-wide risk initiatives
