Job summary

Mitie Group plc. invites applications for a Forensic Psychologist in Training. You will work with prisoners, staff and stakeholders under supervision, gaining experience toward qualification as a Registered Forensic Psychologist. The role involves assessments, research and contributing to rehabilitation programs.

You will develop formulation-driven interventions, engage with stakeholders, and progress toward HCPC registration while upholding HCPC guidelines and data protection standards.

Qualifications

• MSc/MA in Forensic Psychology accredited by BPS or completing Stage 1 of the BPS Qualification.
• Current member or eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered membership (GBC).
• Experience in forensic or mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological risk assessments for the parole board.
• Perform psychological assessments (e.g., WAIS) for various stakeholders.
• Act as a professional witness at Parole Board hearings.
• Deliver supervision of accredited offending behaviour programmes as needed.
• Ensure data handling in line with HCPC, GDPR and institutional policies.
• Design, deliver and evaluate formulation-driven interventions to support sentence plans.
