Job summary

Objective in Reading is seeking a Junior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll work with AWS and Azure platforms, automate deployments, monitor services, and help reduce downtime while gaining hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, learn CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and incident management, with an onsite mentor guiding your growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A passion for learning new technologies and cloud platforms.
• Interest in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and maintain cloud systems.
• Automate deployments and monitor critical services.
• Configure and optimise cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Build automated CI/CD pipelines and contribute to best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation with training and incident management experience.
• Set up observability tools and help detect and resolve issues quickly.
• Document processes and share knowledge within the team.
