Job summary

Phoenix Futures is seeking an experienced, people-focused Team Manager to lead the Amber Valley team in Ripley, delivering high-quality, person-centred drug and alcohol services within the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, develop staff, monitor performance and outcomes, ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance, and build strong partnerships with commissioners and partners to support recovery and improve lives.

Qualifications

• Experience working within substance use services.
• Knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment and recovery journeys.
• Strong safeguarding and risk management knowledge.
• Experience of building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use data to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Line management experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team through supervision and performance management.

Reporting to Service Manager

Are you an inspirational leader with a passion for recovery and supporting others to achieve their potential?

Phoenix Futures is seeking an experienced, passionate, and people-focused Team Manager to lead our Amber Valley team, based in Ripley, within the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership community drug and alcohol service.

Role Purpose

As Team Manager, you will lead and develop the Amber Valley team to deliver high-quality, person-centred drug and alcohol services. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive performance and quality, and ensure positive outcomes for individuals accessing treatment and recovery support.

Working with colleagues, commissioners, and partner agencies, you will promote continuous improvement, maintain high professional standards, and support the ongoing development of services across the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team through effective supervision and performance management.
• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of community-based treatment and recovery services.
• Ensure services meet contractual, quality, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification

We are looking for a passionate and motivated leader with a commitment to supporting recovery and improving lives.

You will bring:

• Experience working within substance use services.
• Knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment, recovery journeys, and associated issues.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Experience of building and maintaining effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to use data to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience of line management or staff supervision (desirable).

• Starting salary of £28,500 per annum, with opportunity to access yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase up to £31,750 per annum.
