Job summary

4Wall Entertainment in Hertford is seeking a hands-on Rigging Prep Technician to join the warehouse team. You will prepare, inspect and maintain rigging gear, ensuring safety and readiness for every job.

This role requires practical technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ideally you have experience with rigging, lifting equipment or electric motors, and you are comfortable using asset management software

Responsibilities

• Prepare, scan and collate rigging equipment and stage for jobs/orders.
• Inspect, clean, test and troubleshoot motors and rigging gear.
• Carry out general maintenance and basic repairs to meet safety/rental standards.
• Check equipment in and out using asset management system and maintain records.
• Support stock control and report shortages of spares and consumables.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace per Health & Safety standards.
• Assist with loading/unloading vehicles and warehouse operations.
• Support stock takes and equipment organisation.

Job description

We’re a global video and lighting service provider delivering technical expertise across exhibitions, concerts, touring, conferences, theatre, TV, film and retail.

We’re Looking for a Rigging Prep Technician to join our warehouse team in our brand new Hertford location, supporting the preparation, maintenance, and organisation of rigging and lifting equipment across our UK operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical work, takes pride in equipment standards, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

What you’ll do

• Prepare, scan and collate rigging equipment, staging it appropriately for jobs/orders.
• Inspect, clean, test and troubleshoot motors and rigging gear.
• Carry out general maintenance and basic repairs to ensure equipment meets safety and rental standards.
• Check equipment in and out using the asset management system, maintaining accurate records.
• Support stock control, reporting shortages of spares and consumables.
• Maintain a clean safe and organised workspace in line with Health & Safety standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and general warehouse operations.
• Support stock takes and overall equipment organisation.

• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to safety and compliance.
• Comfortable using computer systems and asset management software.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg and working in an active warehouse environment.
