You will drive efficient operations, coordinate inspections, manage a mix of permanent and freelance staff, and work with project teams to improve layout and workflow.

Qualificações

• Proven rigging, trussing, lifting or technical event-production experience.
• Strong knowledge of lifting regulations and inspection requirements (LOLER).
• Experience managing teams in a warehouse or technical environment.
• Excellent organisation and inventory management; strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead preparation, dispatch and return of rigging equipment.
• Ensure equipment is tested, hire-ready and handled safely.
• Coordinate inspections, certification and compliance records.
• Quarantine damaged or non-compliant equipment and report shortages.
• Maintain HireTrack asset movements and manage returns of sub-hired equipment.
• Manage daily workflow, hours, timesheets and team performance.
• Recruit, train and coordinate permanent, freelance and casual team members.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve layout, workflow and efficiency.

Lead our warehouse rigging department and keep equipment safe, compliant and event-ready.

IPS is seeking an experienced Head of Rigging Department to lead the warehouse rigging team, manageequipment preparation, dispatch, return, inspection and documentation. You will maintain high safety and quality standards while driving an organised, accountable and efficient warehouse operation.

What you’ll be doing

Lead the accurate, timely preparation, dispatch and return of rigging equipment

Ensure equipment is tested, hire-ready and handled, stored and assembled safely

Coordinate statutory inspections, third-party testing, certification and compliance records

Quarantine damaged or non-compliant equipment and report shortages or damage promptly

Maintain accurate HireTrack asset movements and return sub-hired equipment on time

Manage daily workflow, hours, timesheets, safety briefings and team performance

Recruit, train and coordinate permanent, freelance and casual team members

Work with warehouse and project teams to improve layout, workflow and operational efficiency

What we’re looking for

You will be a proactive and safety-focused leader with proven rigging, trussing, lifting or technical event-production experience and the ability to manage a busy technical team.Strong knowledge of lifting regulations and inspection requirements, including LOLERExperience managing teams in a warehouse or technical environmentExcellent organisation, inventory management, communication and attention to detail Practical hand-tool and test-equipment skills, sound IT knowledge and basic numeracyFlexible approach, including availability for evenings and weekends when requiredRight to work in the UKDesirable: relevant rigging or lifting certifications, external inspection coordination experience, or forklift certification
