Job summary

EDF is recruiting a skilled Rigger for the Hinkley Point site in Bridgwater, UK. You will support lifting, installation, and mobilisation activities across project environments, ensuring rigging tasks are completed safely and to high quality standards.

Role requires proven rigging experience in heavy lift or construction, working with RAMS, lift plans and safety regulations. You will collaborate with crane operators and site personnel, maintain records, and contribute to successful project

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Rigger in heavy lift, construction or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, RAMS, and relevant standards (LOLER/PUWER).
• Ability to interpret lift plans, drawings, risk assessments and other docs.
• Skilled in safe setup and use of cranes and rigging equipment.
• Experience as banksman/slinger with hand signals and radio comms.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site rigging in line with procedures, RAMS and lift plans.
• Prepare, inspect and install lifting equipment per instructions.
• Ensure equipment setup and safety compliance.
• Complete pre-use inspections and report defects.
• Select and attach lifting accessories.
• Direct loads using tag lines and agreed techniques.
• Coordinate with crane operators and site personnel for safe lifts.
• Stop operations if unsafe conditions are identified.
• Complete lift records and inspection reports.
• Use hand and power tools safely and competently.
