Job summary

Arabelle Solutions, part of the EDF Group, is a global leader in nuclear turbine island technologies providing low-carbon power solutions. The Rigger travels to customer sites to review lifting plans, support lifting operations, and ensure compliance with RAMS and LOLER.

The role requires CPCS A40 or NPORS N402 Blue Card, NVQ Level 3 in Moving Engineering Construction Loads, and extensive lifting experience. UK-wide travel and Nuclear Vetting clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid blue card qualifications (CPCS A40 or NPORS N402).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads or equivalent.
• Experience as a Level 3 Rigger and strong lifting knowledge.
• Experience in power generation or large-scale construction preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and holds a UK driving licence.
• Fluent English, with strong teamwork and safety focus.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and undergo Nuclear Vetting clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review lifting plans with the appointed person, supervisor, or lifting lead.
• Understand lifting RAMS and participate in pre-job briefs before each lift.
• Ensure laydown areas are prepared, clean, and compliant.
• Check lifting equipment for good condition and stop work if issues arise.
• Communicate issues to the supervisor and quarantine faulty equipment.
• Ensure rigging activities align with RAMS and LOLER regulations.
• Report completed rigging activities and any defective equipment.
• Engage in continual improvement programs and safety walks.
• Mentor working party members from third-party suppliers and promote teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
