Job summary

Gi Group UK is recruiting a Shift Technician to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art RF testing facility in Fareham. You will work in a technical team performing radiated RF testing on a wide range of products and technologies, ensuring compliance with ETSI and FCC standards while gaining hands-on experience with RF test equipment.

The role operates on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotation, with initial training provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Exposure to RF testing or RF test equipment during studies or previous roles.
• Familiarity with spectrum analysers and/or oscilloscopes.
• Good IT skills including Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document results.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Conscientious, motivated and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work as part of a technical team.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Carry out RF testing on a wide range of products and technologies.
• Follow customer test plans and automated test scripts.
• Set up, operate and monitor RF test equipment.
• Monitor calibration status during testing.
• Work directly with customers during attended testing.
• Liaise with Project Managers to ensure timely, accurate testing.
• Record and document test results clearly.
• Provide clear handovers and report progress at end of each shift.
• Work as part of a 24/7 testing service.
