Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a skilled RF Test Engineer to join our Guildford team supporting consumer products in a lab-based environment. You will conduct RF tests, operate chambers, and work with spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes to ensure reliable product validation.

The role requires 2+ years' RF testing experience, a related engineering degree or military technical background, and the ability to work in a structured, compliant setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent military technical experience.
• 2+ years of RF testing experience.
• Hands-on with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and RF chamber operations.
• Knowledge of RF principles and testing methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing systems or test scripting.
• Familiarity with ETSI, FCC or similar standards.
• Understanding of consumer product testing and validation processes.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Strong communication and adaptability in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RF testing using spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Operate RF chambers and ensure standards compliance.
• Assist day-to-day scheduling and lab activities.
