Job summary

Copello is seeking an Assembly and Test Technician for a 6-month contract near Southampton. Onsite five days a week with a day rate of £217, Inside IR35. Clearances required: BPSS can start, SC needed later.

The role covers RF testing of PCBAs and system sub-assemblies, electro-mechanical assembly, commissioning and acceptance of full systems prior to delivery. You will record test data and support process improvements on site.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electronic principles.
• Experience in electromechanical assembly.
• Experience with automated and manual measurement techniques across a range of Test Equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting issues on non-conforming product.
• RF testing knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Test and record results in accordance with ATP and Test Instructions prior to despatch.
• Record and collate test data for future analysis.
• Assist in raising or improving Concessions, Test Reports and Work Instructions.
• Fault find and repair non-conforming products.
• Support site/process improvements with the Manufacturing Lead and promote environmental considerations.
• Undertake other duties as required for smooth operation.
