Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Electronics Test Technician for a 6-month contract in Farnborough. The role supports assembly, testing and maintenance of complex electronic and communications products, ensuring quality and production standards are met.

This onsite position requires practical hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. You will read drawings, wires, schematics, operate test equipment, document results, and work with engineering, quality and production teams to meet delivery

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, production or engineering technician experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, wiring and integrating electronic, electrical and mechanical components according to technical instructions.
• Carrying out functional testing, inspection and fault-finding on manufactured products and assemblies.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation.
• Using hand tools, power tools and test equipment safely and effectively.
• Recording production, inspection and test results in line with procedures.
• Investigating manufacturing issues and supporting corrective and continuous improvement activities.
• Working with engineering, quality and production teams to meet delivery requirements.
• Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant manufacturing environment.

Rate: £38.80 per hour (Umbrella)

Clearance: Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the sole British nationality and be eligible to obtain SC clearance (can start on BPSS)

The role will support the assembly, testing and maintenance of complex electronic and communications products, ensuring that manufacturing activities meet rigorous quality and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• * Assembling, wiring and integrating electronic, electrical and mechanical components in accordance with technical instructions
• * Carrying out functional testing, inspection and fault-finding on manufactured products and assemblies
• * Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation
• * Using a range of hand tools, power tools and test equipment safely and effectively
• * Recording accurate production, inspection and test results in line with company procedures
• * Investigating manufacturing issues and supporting corrective and continuous improvement activities
• * Working closely with engineering, quality and production teams to meet delivery requirements
