Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Electronics Test Technician for a 6-month contract in Farnborough, onsite. The role supports the assembly, testing and maintenance of complex electronic and communications products, ensuring manufacturing activities meet rigorous quality and production standards.

You will assemble, test and fault-find, interpret drawings and BOMs, use hand and test equipment, record results and contribute to corrective and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production or engineering technician environment
• Understanding of electronic, electrical or mechanical assembly processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
• Experience using test, measurement and diagnostic equipment
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality inspection
• Ability to identify faults, resolve production issues and follow technical procedures
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Awareness of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Assembling, wiring and integrating electronic, electrical and mechanical components in accordance with technical instructions
• Carrying out functional testing, inspection and fault-finding on manufactured products and assemblies
• Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation
• Using a range of hand tools, power tools and test equipment safely and effectively
• Recording accurate production, inspection and test results in line with company procedures
• Investigating manufacturing issues and supporting corrective and continuous improvement activities
• Working closely with engineering, quality and production teams to meet delivery requirements
• Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant manufacturing environment
