Job summary

AVD Appoint Ltd is seeking an RF Technical Support Engineer to join our Surrey team. The role involves installation, integration, inspection, commissioning and testing of advanced RF/Electronic systems, with UK and occasional overseas travel from the HQ in Surrey.

You will need hands-on experience with RF systems and be comfortable working within the Defence sector. A valid UK driving licence is essential; SC cleared experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF systems, Radio Communications, Electronic Surveillance, Electronic Warfare, Signal Intelligence or Tactical Data Links.
• Experience working within the Defence domain.
• Experience fault finding, troubleshooting, installing and/or commissioning RF / Electronic equipment and systems.
• Full UK driving Licence (Category B).
• Desirable: SC Cleared or previously SC Cleared.
• Desirable: Navy, Air Force or Army experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, inspect, commission, test and provide acceptance support for RF/Electronic systems and equipment.
• Travel to various locations within the UK and overseas as required, including overnight stays.
• Work at the HQ and support ongoing business needs in a dynamic, specialist team.
