Job summary
QinetiQ Limited in Farnborough is seeking an Associate Electromagnetic Scientist to contribute to cutting-edge electromagnetic research. You will work across the development lifecycle, performing modelling, laboratory measurements and data analysis to inform projects related to electromagnetic signature management.
The role requires a strong foundation in EM theory, experience with modelling tools (CST/COMSOL) and the ability to communicate findings clearly.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics or a closely related discipline
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
- British Citizenship
- PhD not essential but desirable
Responsibilities
- Delivering electromagnetic modelling, simulation and analysis activities across a range of projects
- Conducting laboratory-based RF measurements, material characterisation and experimental testing
- Analysing and interpreting technical data using scientific software and tools
- Producing high-quality technical reports and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders
- Supporting the development of advanced materials and technologies for electromagnetic signature management
- Contributing to trials, testing programmes and collaborative research activities
