Job summary

Wave Recruitment is seeking a PCB Design Engineer/Layout Engineer in Newcastle upon Tyne to design RF layouts and own chip and reticle layouts from concept to mask release. You will collaborate with process, product engineers, customers and suppliers to deliver projects.

The role requires roughly 2 years of electronics layout experience, proficiency with KLayout/L-Edit/NAZCA-Design or PCB tools, and a disciplined approach to documentation and release processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CAD/layout experience (electronic/electrical).
• Strong numeracy and written accuracy for controlled release documents.
• Comfortable dealing with customers and building technical credibility.

Responsibilities

• Layout ICs and reticle sets from initial concept to mask release.
• Prepare documentation for critical design and mask release reviews; manage mask and reticle docs.
• Liaise with customers and mask manufacturers; coordinate with engineers and programme managers to keep work on schedule.
