Job summary

Endeavour Recruitment is seeking an RF EW Product Engineer (3867-1) to join a defence-focused program aligned with UK missile and EW capabilities. Location combines Stevenage and Bristol with a minimum of three on-site days per week and remote work for the remainder.

You will lead requirement flow-down, engage with Design Authority and customers, and coordinate verification strategies while managing technical trades and supplier performance to meet cost, schedule and quality targets.

JOB LOCATION: Stevenage/Bristol

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL: SC/BPSS to Start, UKEO

DURATION: 6months + Minimum

WORK PATTERN: 3 Days Min on site a Week, the Rest Remote

RATE: £ 60 - £ 80 Per hr on Umbrella (Inside IR35)

TRAVEL REQUIRED - FREQUENCY/DURATION/LOCATIONS

Some travel; between Bristol & Stevenage (twice a month)

PAY RATE

£50-£80 UMB

Interview Process & HM Availability to interview

1 stage, panel interview (Virtual or F2F); could potentially be a phone screening initially too.

• Experience of working closely with a Design Authority and the Customer community to develop the solution, including the management of technical trades.

RF EW Product Engineer

Overview:

• Client, we are growing our Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) capabilities.
• The EW Group supports activities on relevant weapon system and missile programmes, with specific responsibilities for the physical integration and functional operation of RF Electronic Support/Attack payloads as part of the wider EW effects chain at Missile, Weapon System and System of Systems levels.
• We are recruiting an RF EW Product Engineer who will work with the wider organisation and industrial partners to ensure delivery of configured hardware and validation evidence whilst ensuring time, cost and quality constraints are adhered to.
• You will be joining an exciting, expanding, and rapidly evolving area within Client, with the opportunity to work on new and innovative products. With support in terms of your professional development, you'll be able to increase your knowledge and understanding of EW Systems. Opportunities for travel within the UK in support of programmes are also available.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to a Design Lead or Chief Design Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the development of the equipment's requirements, ensuring suitable flow down into the supply chain (internal or external), specifying and collecting technical evidence through testing or analysis, and ensuring safe and secure integrity is maintained throughout the development cycle and into the hands of our Customers.

Skillset/Experience Required:

• A strong understanding of RF and electronic systems, ideally ES and EA systems.
• Ability to specify clear and accurate requirements onto design teams (internal or external).
• Experience of working closely with a Design Authority and the Customer community to develop the solution, including the management of technical trades.
• Management of the technical status and progression of assigned work packages.
• Working with a project team to define the verification and validation strategies, and agreement of key functional & performance tests.
• Management of a supplier's performance, and the adherence to cost, schedule and technical requirements.
• Ability to exchange, communicate and explain technical information between various internal and external stakeholders.
