Job summary

Novanta is seeking an RF Engineer in Stockport to design RF electronics for laser excitation systems and to drive development from concept through production. You will contribute to RF amplifier design, testing, measurement and reliable manufacturing handoffs.

You will work with cross-functional teams to translate performance data into actionable improvements and help ensure compliance with FCC and CE standards in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.
• Practical RF development experience essential.
• Experience taking products from concept through production.
• Strong RF amplifier knowledge and HF/VHF systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Designing RF electronics for laser excitation systems.
• Developing next-generation RF amplifiers from concept through production.
• Conducting RF testing, measurement and characterisation.
• Designing prototypes and experimental test equipment.
• Creating schematics, PCB layouts and BOMs.
• Analysing performance data and translating results into improvements.
• Supporting manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Identifying and evaluating emerging RF technologies and components.
