Job summary

Octagon Group recruits an RF Engineer to join its High Peak, Derbyshire team designing and delivering high‑performance RF and microwave products.

The role covers RF/microwave circuit design, simulation, testing and validation from concept to production, with collaboration across electronics, mechanical and software engineers in a multidisciplinary environment.

You will contribute to design reports, test plans and documentation, and support customers through RFQs and product development projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in RF engineering, RF design and microwave engineering.
• Experience with RF simulation, system analysis, performance optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in RF testing, measurement, characterisation and validation of prototypes and production hardware.
• Experience producing detailed RF engineering documentation and working to technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF and mmWave design, simulation and development of circuits, components and subsystems.
• Conduct RF testing, measurement, characterisation and validation of designs.
• Develop RF engineering documents including design reports, test plans and results.
• Support transition of RF designs from concept through prototyping into volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams on RFQs and product development projects.
