Job summary

Lead RF Engineer in Sedgefield, County Durham, with Octagon Group, to drive RF/microwave sub-circuits from concept to production. Qualifications

• Significant experience in RF/microwave circuit or system design.
• Degree or equivalent in RF, Microwave, Electronics or Communications Engineering.
• Knowledge of Microwave Office, CST, EMPro or ADS.
• Ability to lead technical activities and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of RF/microwave sub-circuits, sub-modules and systems, taking technical responsibility for specification, simulation, realisation and verification.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineers, leading design reviews, managing technical risks and supporting the development of engineering best practice.
• Performing system line-up analysis, tolerance/yield analysis and design for manufacture, while supporting component, IC and MMIC selection and supplier engagement.
• Working closely with electronics, mechanical, PCB layout, manufacturing and test teams to deliver robust RF designs to the required technical, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
