Job summary

Roke is seeking an RF Design Engineer to develop cutting-edge RF electronics for defence applications. You will design, simulate and implement RF/analogue circuits, then test and optimise performance across harsh environments.

You will contribute to design reviews, prepare high-quality documentation, and mentor junior engineers. Hybrid working arrangements apply, with opportunities to demonstrate technology to customers and contribute to test and acceptance phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience using Microwave Office for RF performance modeling and PCB layout with Altium.
• Experience designing RF systems with low SWaP-C requirements.
• Experience with harsh-environment RF design (EMC, vibration, thermal).
• Familiarity with spectrum analyzers, vector analyzers, power meters and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and implement RF and analogue circuits for defence projects.
• Perform hands-on integration, testing, and debugging of RF circuits to optimize performance.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve outcomes.
• Prepare technical documentation, test plans and results for compliance evidence.
• Provide mentoring to junior engineers and support project leadership.
