Job summary

Mount Charles Group in Belfast is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Glenalina Lodge. This role involves cleaning to required standards during 24 hours per week, with 3x 08:00-16:00 shifts and every other weekend off.

You should have cleaning experience, knowledge of COSHH, and be customer focused with good time management. We provide training, a supportive team and benefits including a pension and employee wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas efficiently and to required standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials and usage as trained.
• Report faulty equipment and tag as such.
• Ensure safety signage is used at all times.
• Keep cleaning stores tidy and equipment stored correctly.

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team based at Glenalina Lodge, Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Working Pattern:

• 24hours per week
• 3x 08:00-16:00Shifts, every other weekend off

The Role:

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correct

The Person:

• Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
• Are customer focused with good eye for detail
• Good time management skills
• Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
