Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting a Rework Technician in Windsor for a manufacturing client. You will perform SMT and through-hole rework, repair and modification on electronic assemblies.

Based in Windsor, the role involves reading engineering drawings, following approved documentation and ensuring high quality and safety standards. 37 hours per week with specific shift times are offered, along with a £32,000 per annum salary.

Qualifications

• Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering and rework.
• Ability to solder and rework components down to 0201 package size.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams and bills of materials.

Responsibilities

• Carry out SMT and through-hole rework, repair and modification activities on electronic assemblies.
• Remove and replace surface mount components, including fine-pitch devices and BGAs where trained and authorised.
• Complete engineering changes, customer modifications and product upgrades in accordance with approved documentation.
• Read and interpret drawings, assembly instructions, schematics and bills of materials.
• Use soldering, rework, inspection and X-ray equipment to complete work to required standards.
• Identify and report quality, process or product issues to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with ESD, quality, housekeeping and health and safety requirements.
• Support assembly, inspection or testing activities as required to meet business needs.

Proactive are urgently recruiting for a Rework Technician to join manufacturing client in Windsor (SL4 Area).

Role Details :

Hours- 37 hours/week

Monday to Thursday : 07:30 to 16:00

Friday : 07:30 to 12;30

Pay Rate: £32,000 pa

Location : Windsor, SL4

Main responsibilities

• Carry out SMT and through-hole rework, repair and modification activities on electronic assemblies.
• Remove and replace surface mount components, including fine-pitch devices and BGAs where trained and authorised.
• Complete engineering changes, customer modifications and product upgrades in accordance with approved documentation.

Skills, knowledge & experience

• Good understanding of ESD controls and electronic assembly standards.
• Experience of BGA rework, track repairs, modifications or IPC standards would be advantageous.
