Job summary

Alexander Faraday Limited in Slough is seeking an experienced Rework Technician to join our electronics manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on PCB and electronic assemblies, performing precision rework, repair and component replacement to high quality standards.

You will carry out SMT and through-hole rework, read drawings and BoMs, use soldering, rework and inspection tools including X-ray equipment, and ensure compliance with ESD and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronics rework and precision soldering.
• Experience with 0201 size components.
• BGA rework, track repairs, IPC standards or PCB modifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• SMT and through-hole soldering, rework and repair.
• Component removal and replacement, including fine-pitch devices.
• PCB modifications and engineering changes.
• Reading drawings, schematics and Bills of Materials.
• Using soldering, rework, inspection and X-ray equipment.
• Identifying and reporting quality issues.

This is a hands-on role working on PCB and electronic assemblies, carrying out precision rework, repair, modification and component replacement to high quality standards.

The Role

• SMT and through-hole soldering, rework and repair
• Component removal and replacement, including fine-pitch devices
• PCB modifications and engineering changes
• Reading drawings, schematics and Bills of Materials
• Using soldering, rework, inspection and X-ray equipment
• Identifying and reporting quality issues
• Working in line with ESD and quality standards

About You

You’ll have proven experience in electronics rework and precision soldering, including the ability to work with components down to 0201 size.

Experience with BGA rework, track repairs, IPC standards or PCB modifications would be advantageous.
