Job summary

AWE is seeking a Rewards Manager - Compensation for a 12 month hybrid contract in Green Park, Reading. You will lead compensation programmes, manage annual pay reviews, and ensure policy governance while engaging with stakeholders across the organisation.

The role requires experience in market benchmarking, pay analytics and a strong compliance mindset, with SC clearance or active eligibility. This is an Inside IR35 assignment within the UK public defence sector.

Qualifications

• Experience leading annual pay review cycles and salary reviews.
• Developing, maintaining, and advising on compensation frameworks and pay structures.
• Experience conducting internal and external pay benchmarking and market analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all compensation activity, including pay structures, allowances and incentive schemes.
• Drive the annual pay review cycle, salary increases and incentive award processes.
• Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitive reward offerings.
• Ensure compensation practices comply with legislation and governance requirements.
• Produce compensation reports and KPIs using Excel.
