Job summary

CrossCountry Trains is seeking a Revenue Management Analyst to drive commercial revenue and enhance the passenger experience. Hybrid role based mainly at the Birmingham office (3 days) with 2 days from home, focusing on price and seat availability for key routes.

You will analyse large datasets, identify opportunities, and present insights to the commercial team. Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau, SQL and Python, strong communication, and a proactive, data-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience presenting numerical information to a wide audience.
• Excellent analytical skills with large datasets and KPIs.
• Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau.
• Knowledge of SQL; Python for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage price and seat availability for key routes to maximise revenue and minimise overcrowding.
• Extract and interpret data to identify opportunities and improvement areas for the route.
• Use revenue management systems to manage policies for loadings, reservations, revenue and competition.
• Review crowding feedback and implement actions.
• Produce weekly and periodic reporting for internal/external stakeholders.
• Act as a commercial partner for the region with revenue improvement insights.

If you thrive in a dynamic, data-driven environment and want to be part of a forward-thinking company committed to sustainable growth and exceptional service, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesEffectively managing price and seat availability, interpreting short term demand and supply data to adjust availability of discounted ticket quotas to maximise revenue and minimise overcrowding (inventory control, or yield/revenue management)Extract and interpret key data available to identify opportunities and areas of improvement for your assigned route.
