Job summary

Checkout.com in London is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to oversee revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, and related close processes within the Revenue and Billing Operations team.

You will partner with Finance, Product, Engineering and Data, drive process improvements, implement controls, and support audits. The role requires ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and 6+ years in finance, with ASC606/IFRS15 experience; hybrid UK work model.

Qualifications

• Professional finance qualification such as ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent.
• At least six years of progressive finance experience including month end reporting and at least three years of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with remote teams, including Finance, Product, Engineering, Data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels.
• Experience of revenue month end and ASC606/ IFRS 15.
• Strong data analysis, Excel data modelling and exposure to AI automation tools.
• Experience in a fast-paced, changing environment, preferably in Payments/FinTech or Financial Services.
• Experience with ERP systems (Workday Financials preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and posting of manual correction journals.
• Provide commentary and analysis on net revenue performance and balance sheet position.
• Support group audit for revenue and billing operations.
• Set up revenue and balance sheet recording processes and write procedure manuals.
• Continuously improve reporting and processes to meet stakeholder needs.
• Establish robust period-end close documentation and controls.
• Enhance data integrity, automation and controls across trading balances.
• Perform accounting and reconciliation processes across key accounts.
• Analyze data from various systems to identify gaps and reconciliation breaks.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
