Cognita is seeking a Revenue Assistant to join their UK Finance team on a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting debt recovery, maintaining financial records, and liaising with various stakeholders. About the role
As a Revenue Assistant within our UK Finance team, you will support the recovery of referred debt and assist with case referrals to solicitors. Reporting to the Senior Revenue Controller, you will maintain accurate records, liaise with Finance Managers, Heads of Finance, and external parties, update systems, handle email correspondence related to revenue management, and provide timely updates to aid recovery. Your attention to detail and communication skills will support the financial health of our organisation. You should be confident in handling difficult conversations with parents and stakeholders, and able to challenge decisions when necessary. If you are organised, data-savvy, and enjoy problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to develop your finance career in a collaborative, purpose-driven team.
This is a full-time 6-month fixed-term contract role, starting in June. The position is home-based with occasional travel to collaborate with schools and finance teams.

You possess strong Excel skills, confident communication, and can manage multiple tasks under pressure. You are adept at working with data, liaising with stakeholders, and following administrative processes. You demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, and a solutions-focused mindset. Working independently from home, you are highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities. You are comfortable handling sensitive financial data and engaging with schools, parents, solicitors, and colleagues. A commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing is essential, along with enthusiasm to adapt to change and support the wider UK Finance team as needed.
