Job summary

Ubico is launching a brand-new reuse shop at Hempsted Recycling Centre in Gloucester. We seek a commercially minded Reuse Shop Manager to lead operations, drive sustainability, and maximise income from donated items.

You will oversee staff, merchandising, stock control, and customer service, while promoting reuse within the local community. Weekend work and varied shifts are expected with strong emphasis on teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence to drive company vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight.
• GCSEs (A-Cs or equivalent, including Maths and English).
• Experience of managing a team.
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment.
• Good knowledge of Consumer Rights Act.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the reuse shop.
• Manage and develop a small team; recruitment support, training, performance management.
• Create staff rotas and ensure shop is staffed during opening hours.
• Identify, price, and maximise resale value of donated items.
• Develop attractive merchandising displays and stock control.
