Job summary

Ubico Limited is opening a brand-new Reuse Shop at Hempsted Recycling Centre and seeks an enthusiastic Reuse Shop Assistant to help run it, welcoming customers and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience. You will assist with receiving, sorting, pricing and displaying donated items to maximise resale value, while helping maintain a tidy, engaging retail space.

Weekend shifts are required in summer and winter, with flexible hours, and full driving licence is needed to operate vehicles up to

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience
• Full driving licence to drive up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience of operating a till and handling cash and card payments
• Good verbal, written communication, numerical and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Receiving, inspecting, cleaning and preparing donated items for resale.
• Researching and helping to price items to maximise their resale value.
• Assisting with attractive product displays and merchandising.
• Operating the till system and handling cash and card payments accurately
