Convex is seeking a Returner in Operational Audit based in London to strengthen group internal controls, risk management and governance. The role concentrates on delivering high-quality assurance and engaging stakeholders while applying GIAS standards.

Returning from a career break of two or more years, you will refresh core audit skills and work with business teams to identify improvement opportunities, supporting the Group's control environment.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIA or equivalent) in financial services or audit.
• Returning from a career break of 2+ years and seeking a supportive environment.
• Analytical approach to problem solving with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication skills across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, flexible, and eager to learn as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Audit scoping & planning: collaborate with stakeholders to map workflows and prepare APDs/ToR.
• Control evaluation & walkthroughs: design RCMs for operational audits.
• Audit execution: conduct testing to assess control effectiveness and gaps.
• Reporting & advisory: draft observations and pragmatic recommendations for management.
• Remediation & action tracking: monitor agreed actions and drive continuous improvements.
