Job summary

Public Health Wales NHS Trust is seeking a retinal grader (Band 4) to join the Diabetic Eye Screening Wales team. The role is part-time (18.75 hours per week) with a rota between 07:00 and 20:00, and occasional weekend work. Full training provided, including a Diploma in Diabetic Eye Grading.

Based in Wales, the post is office-based with scope to contribute to quality assurance and patient care within DESW. Welsh language skills are welcomed and accommodated where possible.

Qualifications

• A’ level or equivalent or technical qualification.
• Commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Grade and assess retinal images to identify diabetic retinopathy.
• Follow strict criteria and SOPs for screening.
• Engage with DESW participants and liaise with other departments.
