Job summary

B&Q Limited, based in Southampton, seeks a Trading Law Advisor to ensure compliance with UK and Ireland trading laws. The role collaborates with stakeholders across retail, ecommerce and marketplace channels to provide pragmatic legal advice and embed a culture of compliance.

The ideal candidate will lead regulatory risk management, support policy development, and manage incidents and enforcement responses while partnering with the wider Kingfisher Legal network.

Qualifications

• UK regulatory and consumer law experience in a retail or ecommerce setting.
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business advice.
• Experience managing regulatory responses, enforcement actions and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic regulatory advice across trading law to support business objectives.
• Support development of policies and governance frameworks with due diligence.
• Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations and enforcement activity.
• Collaborate with external advisers and regulators to mitigate risk.
• Deliver regulatory compliance training to senior leaders and teams.
