Qualifications

• Experience with consumer law frameworks and regulators.
• Experience in retail, ecommerce, or marketplace environments.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into clear business advice.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage high-volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to pre-empt and navigate regulatory issues.
• Manage responses to regulatory enquiries, investigations, referrals and enforcement activity.
• Develop policies, controls and governance frameworks demonstrating due diligence.
• Provide risk-based advice translating complex legal requirements into practical business guidance.
• Identify and prepare for emerging legal and regulatory risks via horizon scanning.
• Assist in managing escalated disputes and legal claims.
• Collaborate with external advisers and regulators; build constructive relationships.
• Participate in strategic projects ensuring compliance is embedded early.
• Support senior leaders in understanding material legal risks.
• Develop and deliver compliance training across the business.
• Promote awareness of legal obligations and good practice.
