Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a friendly Retail Team Member for the shop at Sizergh, Kendal. You’ll welcome visitors, answer questions and help them enjoy their day, with a focus on presentation and service.

This part-time role (16 hours per week) covers Friday to Sunday. You’ll handle deliveries, create displays and keep the shop tidy while sharing how purchases fund the National Trust.

Summary

We’re looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Sizergh, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day.

Salary £12.75 per hour

Contract/duration Permanent

Hours/working patter Part-time 16 hours per week, this role is split over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.

You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised.
