Job summary

Hobbycraft in Aintree is seeking a Team Leader to support the Store Manager and run the store in their absence, delivering excellent customer service to encourage repeat visits and drive sales. You will embody our brand values as a key member of the management team.

The role is 37.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 10 January 2027, with a salary of £13.74 per hour. A welcoming, inclusive environment with extensive benefits awaits you as part of our Hobbycraft family.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to drive outstanding customer service and commercial awareness.
• Brand ambassador and adaptable to change.
• Plan and ensure the store is set for a successful day of trade.
• Relationship builder, fair, respectful, inclusive environment (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging).
• Merchandiser: coordinate deliveries; manual handling included.
• Coordinate Click and Collect process.
• Policy compliance with Health & Safety and company policies.
• Deliver clear daily targets and communications to the team.
• Host in-store workshops.
• Support Store Manager in day-to-day management; be a keyholder; manage opening/closing, cash controls, data compliance.
• Assist recruitment and training of new colleagues.
• Provide coaching and support to colleagues.
