Job summary

Iceland Foods in Strabane, Northern Ireland, invites applications for a Team Leader to join our on-site store team. This full-time role focuses on leading shifts, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service while following our One Best Way processes.

You will work alongside our team to maximise availability, develop staff, and ensure compliance with cash handling and security policies, with a £2 per hour supplement for time spent managing shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers. Drive sales and deliver on actions set by your line manager.
• Engage, develop & retain great people: Support and work with the Talking Shop Rep; foster inclusive culture and up-skilling.
• Follow cash handling and security policies; implement One Best Way processes; ensure service quality in-store and at the doorstep.
• Lead by example: Be approachable to customers, respectful to colleagues, enthusiastic as a team, and mindful of waste and business needs.
