Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is recruiting for a prison-based warehouse role inside HM Prison LeyHill, Gloucestershire. You will lead and work with offenders in a fast-paced picking, packing and distribution environment as part of our canteen service initiative.

The role includes manual handling, strict security checks and a permanent contract with shift patterns Tue-Fri 11am-8pm and Sat 8am-12pm; salary is £28,198.19 per year and full UK working rights required.

Qualifications

• Must provide three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
• Have valid right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.

Job description

Pay Rate: £28,198.19

Shift patterns: Tuesday to Friday 11am - 8pm Saturday 8am - 12pm

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based inside a prison and involves working alongside serving offenders. You will be required to pass enhanced security vetting as part of the recruitment process.

This isn't a standard warehouse role. At DHL Supply Chain, we run warehouse operations inside prisons supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service. This service allows offenders to use their own money to buy approved items such as food, toiletries and everyday essentials - with our teams responsible for picking, packing and distributing these orders within the prison.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Work inside a prison, leading and working alongside offenders in a warehouse

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Able to communicate clearly and deal with people, including in challenging situations
• Comfortable working inside a prison, alongside offenders
• Have 3 years UK address history (required for security clearance)
• Hands on and willing to get stuck into warehouse tasks
• Interested in doing a job that can make a real difference

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Must provide three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
• Have valid right to work in the United Kingdom without restriction for example; British or Irish Citizen, Indefinite Leave to Remain or Settled status. We're unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
