Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is recruiting for a part-time, prison-based warehouse role at HMP Parkhurst, Isle of Wight. The job involves working inside a prison environment, leading and collaborating with offenders to pick, pack and distribute orders within the canteen service.

Shift patterns vary through the week with day-based hours and a 9am to 4.30pm finish on some days. The role offers a pay rate of £17,251 and requires passing enhanced security vetting.

Job description

Pay Rate: £17,251

Contract Type: Part-Time hours

Shift patterns: Monday 9am - 4pm Tuesday 10am - 4pm Wednesday 10am - 4.30pm Thursday 10am - 4.30pm

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based inside a prison and involves working alongside serving offenders. You will be required to pass enhanced security vetting as part of the recruitment process.

This isn't a standard warehouse role. At DHL Supply Chain, we run warehouse operations inside prisons supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service. This service allows offenders to use their own money to buy approved items such as food, toiletries and everyday essentials — with our teams responsible for picking, packing and distributing these orders within the prison.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Work inside a prison, leading and working alongside offenders in a warehouse

• Able to communicate clearly and deal with people, including in challenging situations
• Comfortable working inside a prison, alongside offenders
• Have 3 years UK address history (required for security clearance)
• Hands on and willing to get stuck into warehouse tasks
• Interested in doing a job that can make a real difference
