Job summary

Pilgrims Hospices is seeking a part-time Retail Supervisor in Deal, Kent. You will support the Retail Manager to keep the shop thriving as a welcoming community hub and income source.

You will merchandise creatively, manage donations stock, mentor volunteers, handle till tasks, banking and deliveries, and promote Gift Aid while ensuring health and safety rules are followed.

The role is temporary, for 5/6 weeks, requiring flexibility to cover 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or charity shop environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Retail Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Showcase creative merchandising to attract donors and customers.
• Manage stock: sort, price donations, and maintain inventory.
• Inspire and mentor volunteers to build retail skills.
• Handle till reconciliation, banking, and deliveries.
• Promote Gift Aid to maximise donation revenue.
• Adhere to health and safety policies for staff, volunteers, and customers.
