Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Retail Supervisor for a full-time role contracted to 35 hours per week. You will lead a frontline team, ensuring high standards of service while supporting daily operations in a major High Street brand.

The role includes 5 out of 7 shift patterns, with opportunities for development within a large, people-focused organisation. We value individuals who communicate well, work effectively under pressure, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a similar environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team with a can-do attitude.
• Capable of working under pressure while maintaining a positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Operate the till, take orders and process payments.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as required.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels.
• Delegate tasks and keep the team proactive.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Using the till, taking order and receiving payments
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Retail Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
