Job summary

Fortnum & Mason Piccadilly is seeking an enthusiastic Retail Supervisor for our Ground Floor team. You’ll lead by example, coach Sales Associates, and drive exceptional service to create memorable customer experiences.

A visible presence on the shop floor, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations and help ensure smooth, welcoming store dynamics. The role demands a proactive, hands-on leader with strong communication and organisational skills, capable of motivating a busy team across varied shifts,

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a fast-paced retail environment.
• Proven experience of motivating a team and working towards KPIs.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• A warm, confident and engaging approach with excellent people skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive and hands-on leadership style.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late finishes and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, delivering exceptional service and inspiring the team to create memorable experiences for every customer.
• Support the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Coach, motivate and support Sales Associates to achieve individual and team goals.
• Drive sales and support the team in achieving store KPIs.
• Engage with customers on the shop floor, sharing product stories and providing thoughtful recommendations.
• Maintain presentation, replenishment and product availability.
• Support stock management and replenishment accuracy.
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain Fortnum’s standards across customer service, operations and health and safety.
